Edit user accounts in windows xp:
1 Press the start menu key in the bottom left area of the screen.
2 Click on Control Panel.
3 Find the “User Accounts” button and double click it.
first three options will be: change an account, create a new account and change the way users log on or off. Clicking change an account will allow you to manage existing accounts. (more...)
Dear if you are using the NTFS filing protocol on your system, instead of FAT32, you can get a bit more speed by disabling Windows® Indexing. The downside to this is that searching your drive for a specific file might take a moment or two longer, but everything else should run faster.
if you want to disable this feature open My Computer and then right click on the drive you wish to reset – usually C-drive. Now click on Properties and then uncheck “Allow Indexing Service.� It will take Windows® a few moments to accomplish this task, based on your processor speed. If you have other hard drives, perform the same process for them. After this is done, it’s a good idea to empty the Recycle Bin and then Defragment your hard drive(s). (more...)

Complete process is mostly done automatically. That doesn't imply that you just watch the computer do all work for you from start to finish.
At certain stages of the process, you are prompted to choose some options the system presents. Most questions you can answer easily, but there are some options which needs careful consideration to pick.
